If something isn't working, please include your iPhone model, iOS version, the app version (Account › Version), how you sign in (Apple or Google) and what happened. There's no need to send your workouts.

Signing in

Why do I need to sign in?

Your workouts are kept in your account so they sync between devices and you can log for others and share. Sign in with Apple or Google; there's no password to set.

Is Apple different from Google?

They are separate accounts. Use the same method every time to see the same data; the sign-in screen shows which one you used last on this iPhone. Two accounts can't be merged yet.

Can I use more than one device?

Yes. Sign in to the same account with the same method on an iPhone or iPad (shown as the iPhone app) and your history syncs. Your plan belongs to your iamFit account, so it works on every device signed in to it.

Can I log without internet?

On your own profiles, yes: the app keeps your changes on the device and sends them when you're back online. A profile someone shared with you needs a connection to check access before you log.

Trial and plans

How does the free trial work?

You get everything in iamFit Plus for 14 days, counted from your account's first sign-in. No card needed, and no automatic charge. See the days left in Account › Membership.

What plans are there, and what does Plus add?

There are two plans, each monthly or yearly. Prices show in the app before you buy, in your local currency.

iamFitiamFit Plus
Log your own main profile: strength, cardio and routines✓✓
Invite helpers or viewers to your main profile✓✓
Make profiles for others and log for them (up to 20, yours included)–✓
Log in profiles you're invited to, even if their owner has no plan–✓

Do helpers need to buy a plan?

No. While a profile's owner has a plan or is in the trial, anyone invited as Helps log can log for that profile. Receiving a profile someone hands to you is free too.

What happens when the trial or my plan ends?

Nothing is deleted. Your whole history stays readable and exportable, and you can still move things to the trash and restore them. Logging new workouts needs a plan. Profiles you made for others become view-only until you have Plus again; helpers with Plus can still log for them.

Restore purchases

Sign in to the same iamFit account, use the Apple ID you bought with, and go to Account › Membership › Restore purchases. If you have two iamFit accounts on one Apple ID, the plan works in one account at a time: tap Restore purchases in the account you want to use and the plan moves there.

Cancel a subscription

Account › Membership › Manage subscription, or iPhone Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the next period. Your plan works until the end of the period you paid for, and all your data stays. Deleting your iamFit account doesn't cancel an Apple subscription.

Refunds

Payments go through Apple, so refunds are requested at reportaproblem.apple.com. The developer can't issue refunds.

Logging for others and sharing

Make a profile for someone else

Account › All profiles › Add profile. A nickname or a real name is fine. It comes with iamFit Plus or the trial, up to 20 profiles including yours. Log only for people who know and are fine with it.

Invite a helper or a viewer

Account › All profiles › tap ⓘ next to the profile › choose Helps log or View only › Invite a helper, then send the code. A code works once within 7 days. The other person enters it in Account › Enter an invitation or profile code. Remove someone any time with Remove on the same screen.

Hand a profile to its person

When the person you log for has their own iamFit account, tap ⓘ next to their profile › Create a profile code, and send them the code. They see how many workouts it holds before they accept. Once they do, the profile and all its history are theirs, and you can keep helping until they remove you. Receiving is free; no membership needed.

What happens to the people I log for?

Your data

Export a backup

Open a profile you own, then go to Account › Export a backup › Share the backup to save it in Files or send it on. The file is JSON and keeps every workout and routine of the open profile. With several profiles, export them one at a time.

Move to trash and restore

In a workout or routine, tap Move to trash. Restore it from the Trash row at the end of the list in the History tab.

Delete your account

Account › tap the card with your name at the top › Delete account and data › type DELETE › Confirm account deletion. If the app asks you to sign in again, tap Sign in again before deleting. What gets deleted, and how to ask by email if you can't sign in: Delete your iamFit account.
